Course Description

This course covers the key concepts of communication style using: the Tracom SOCIAL STYLE & Versatility model, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), or The CAPP Strength Book & Realise2 assessment. It provides the basics to understand your own personality style and subsequent behaviors, as well as recognizing and working with the behaviors of others. You will experience a series of exercises, a self-assessment, facilitated discussion, and, ultimately, learn ways to develop better relationships, thus increasing workplace productivity.

Expected Outcome

In this module, you will be able to:

  • Identify their own communication style
  • Understand how your communication style affects interactions with others

Developing Powerful Messages for the Right Audience

Course Description

Creating and delivering a solid, purposeful message that is organized clearly and concisely is never easy. This course offers new tools and techniques to gauge assumptions as well as assess the audience to create powerful, clear, and listener-focused messages. Additionally, you will learn strategies to capture and maintain audience interest and participation.

  • Clearly define the purpose of the message to aid in approach and design
  • Thoroughly assessment audience to assure needs and interests are taken into consideration

Generational Differences and Insights

Course Description

Understanding differences and similarities between the 3 largest generations in the global workforce will be a big key for organizations to: develop strategies for hiring and collaborating with members of each generation, maximize performance and retention, and help coach and engage employees. During this session you will be encouraged to work with real coaching situations and challenges to increase relevance and to make this a true workshop. You will also review the latest research on the newest Generation, Gen Z, and brainstorm how we will prepare to incorporate this generation into our workforce.

Expected Outcome

This half-day hands-on workshop is intended to enable you to:

  • Understand and recognize generational differences between: Boomers, Gen X, and Gen Y (Millennials)
  • Discuss myths and facts associated with each generation with a focus on how to hire, manage and/or build teams
  • Model and practice a coaching process that brings out the best in each generation
  • Discuss how to adapt our work places and/or management styles to increase collaboration across the generations
Emotional Intelligence

Course Description

This module builds on the foundation established in the Communication Styles course. You will gain an understanding and appreciation for the importance of having emotional intelligence. You wil also learn ways to recognize various emotions, practical techniques to maintain composure and professionalism when the emotions are high, how to provide feedback effectively, and have several opportunities to practice.

Expected Outcome

In this module, you will be able to:

  • Strengthen emotional intelligence skills, with a focus on self-awareness, and awareness of others
  • Recognize negative/non-neutral emotions and begin to manage them while maintaining composure and professionalism
  • Improve ability to provide feedback effectively in the face of anxiety, anger and/or frustration
Thinking On Your Feet

Course Description

Whether you are put on the spot during a meeting, selling an idea, or answering questions after a presentation, articulating your thoughts in unanticipated situations requires skill. This course will give you techniques to express thoughts and ideas into coherent speech quickly, in order to ensure the ideas are heard. These strategies will prepare you to be more confident, persuasive, and trustworthy.

  • Identify techniques to stay calm and appear confident while allowing for thinking time

Building Trust

Course Description

To build sustainable long-term relationships with clients, delivering results will work for a while. In the long term results alone will be insufficient. You need to build trust and advisor-based relationships. We will discuss key steps to build trust over time to build sustainable clients who will rave about you to others. We will also discuss key elements of trust, including: credibility, active listening, and giving advice effectively. Finally, we will look at the impact of demonstrating strong emotional intelligence on client relationships.
